Former State Assemblyman Tom Abinanti is gearing up for a run against current Assemblywoman Mary Jane Shimsky.
Abinanti aims to reclaim his seat in the 92nd Assembly District. While he hasn’t officially announced his candidacy yet, he revealed that community leaders have been urging him to run.
He plans to launch a grassroots campaign and expects to make an official announcement in about a week or so.
In response to inquiries, Assemblywoman Shimsky stated, “It’s been my honor and privilege to serve the people of the 92nd Assembly District. I look forward to continuing to work on their behalf with my colleagues in the New York State Assembly, and to providing the best possible services and quality of life.”
