At its 50th Anniversary celebration, WCLA – CHOICE MATTERS honored Tom Abinanti for his efforts to protect reproductive rights. (He was a founding board member and former pro bono legal counsel.)
As an Assembly member, Tom Abinanti sponsored two Amendments to the NYS Constitution to protect the right to reproductive freedom and prohibit discrimination based on disability. He voted to give first passage to the Equality Amendment which is a single NYS Constitutional Amendment that includes both.
